An Addictive Drug

Our company conducted a seminar and they discussed about drug addictions. They enumerated lots of drugs and one drug caught my attention because I haven’t heard it before that seminar. They discussed the opiate drug which is a drug used to treat pain. It also contains opium or a substance that is made from opium. This drug is a narcotic drug which once defined as naturally occurring drug from the opium poppy plant. I really listened to the seminar attentively and I know I can use those informations in the future.

Any drug that is abused or being taken that is more than what is prescribed can be an addiction. The speakers of the seminar also told us about the Opiate Detox which can help someone who abused it to be treated. The effect of opiate to our body aside from killing the pain is that it depress activity of the central nervous system and induce sleep. Addiction can be cured as long as the family supports him and he is also willing to be treated.
