I always thought that it is much colder at the north pole than the south pole. It was only today, when I was watching discovery channel that I knew I was wrong. The average north pole temperature is at -34 degree Celsius during winter and 0 degree Celsius during summer. However, during the last 20 years the north pole temperature is observed to be changing, scientists believe that it is due to global warming.
After their episode about the north pole, the next topic was about matrioshka dolls in Russia. These matrioshka dolls are carved, wooden dolls, whose art existed for more than a century. At Moscow, there is a museum dedicated to these dolls, and is the first official collection in Russia. The museum was situated at the house where the first wooden doll was carved during the late 19th century. If you are interested in touring this matrioshka museum, then you should get a visa russia, and get the chance to bring home great souvenirs and memorable gifts to decorate your home.
