Season Sales

During NFL season, sales on  NFL jerseys and other apparel are at its peak. Stores are profiting more from football merchandise compared to other sports. I guess this is what we call football mania. Everyone becomes a football fan overnight, everywhere you look you can see people wearing NFL jerseys and caps. Even cars have bumper stickers supporting their favorite NFL teams. And it doesn’t stop there, even the newspapers are filled with NFL articles, and player profiles.

There was a time when I was at the mall with my son, because I was buying him a new pair of Adidas shoes that he can use during his gym class. Everywhere you look, all you can see are jerseys, caps and banners, there are also posters of popular NFL players for sale. At the Adidas store, while my son was fitting a pair, I noticed that they also sell NFL jerseys. My son said that shoes fitted him perfectly, when I was to pay for his shoes, he asked me if I could buy him an NFL jersey. I said why not, it’s the latest trend after all, and most of his friends have one. After paying for the items, I looked at my Louis Vuitton watch, and realized it was time for lunch. We headed towards my son’s favorite restaurant, and guess what, the restaurant’s motif was football.
